    • Suggested live matter safety: 1/4" on three sides
    • Gutter safety: 1/2" each side
    • Bleed (Full Page Ads ONLY): 1/8" on all four sides

DIGITAL MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Acceptable Media: CD ROM, DVD's or FTP site upload available upon request. Disks must be labeled with advertiser name, phone number & month of insertion.
  • Requested with all Ads:
    • Laser proof with all B/W ads
    • Contract Color Proof for all full color ads - publisher will strive for pleasing color. Include all files, printer and screen fonts on disks.
    • Laser proofs are for identification ONLY.
  • CONTRACT COLOR PROOF: Contract Color Proofs must be certified by SWOP standards for color. The certification is only valid when calibrated to SWOP standards for off press proofs. Visit SWOP Certified Systems for current list.
    • If proofs other than contract proofs are submited for color ads are submitted, we will print to SWOP standard ink densities. If a proof is needed, it can be generated at customer expense.
    • n Media Group is not responsible for color reproduction quality if SWOP standard color proofs are not provided for guidance. All materials will be held for one year and then destroyed unless otherwise requested in writing. For information on SWOP standards, go to www.swop.org.)
    • Color: CMYK is the only accepted mode for 4 color ads. DO NOT USE RGB. Laser proofs are for identification ONLY.
  • FILE FORMAT: Hi-Res Press Ready PDF, EPS, Quark, TIFF & Adobe CS3 are acceptable file formats.
  • Digital color proofs: Must be accompanied by a label sheet identifying proofing device used, file identification & name, phone number & e-mail address of a production contact person.
  • Color mode: All files on disk must be CMYK not RGB.
  • Maximum density: 4 color ads should not exceed 280%
  • Resoluion: Images should be high resolution, following the above requirements, we recommend 300 dpi at 100%.

Production Notes

n magazine will not be held responsible for the quality of images provided from non-professional digital photography or scans. Ad production services are available. Account executive will provide fee schedule upon request.
